I cubi di fluorite verde si arrampicano a gradini sovrapposti su questo gruppo di Xianghuapu; il più ampio, a destra, ha la sommità piatta e un nucleo verde menta che sfuma verso l'esterno in un bordo più scuro. Gran parte delle facce è smerigliata anziché vitrea, finemente corrosa e terrazzata, e una drusa bianco-grigia di minuti cristalli di quarzo riempie i canali fra i cubi e riveste la matrice sottostante.
Xianghuapu, nello Hunan, è una delle località che i collezionisti di minerali cinesi tengono d'occhio per la fluorite verde, e questo pezzo spiega il perché. La gradazione dal chiaro allo scuro dentro ogni cubo è zonatura di crescita: ogni strato ha preso il colore dal fluido presente mentre quella faccia si costruiva. La smerigliatura è arrivata dopo, corrosione tardiva che sopraggiunge quando la chimica della soluzione cambia a crescita conclusa. La fluorite ha durezza 4 Mohs e sfaldatura ottaedrica perfetta, e quella pelle corrosa è originale dell'esemplare, non un difetto da lucidare via.
Occupa 8,9 × 5,3 × 6,9 cm per 460 g. Ogni immagine ritrae questo unico gruppo, che si regge da sé sul rovescio della matrice.
