La pirite dorata ricopre gran parte di un lato di questo campione arrotondato, mentre ciuffi di calcite bianca affollano il bordo superiore opposto. La superficie metallica è densa e finemente cristallina, con aree dai toni più caldi arancio-bruni visibili vicino al margine inferiore. Il confine fra la crescita chiara e quella dorata è irregolare anziché rettilineo. Una fotografia più ravvicinata mostra le piccole facce riflettenti della pirite e rivela le punte più alte di calcite che sporgono al di sopra.
