Verde schiuma di mare sotto una pelle opaca e smerigliata, questo teschio è sfaccettato più che lucidato: ampi piani piatti salgono a gradini sul cranio dove la fluorite si è separata lungo la propria sfaldatura naturale, e ciascuno raccoglie la luce come un foglio di raso anziché come uno specchio. Il colore si addensa sulla nuca e lungo la mandibola, assottigliandosi quasi fino all'incolore sulla fronte e sui piccoli denti cubici.
Quella sfaccettatura è la fluorite che si comporta da fluorite. La specie si sfalda perfettamente in quattro direzioni parallele all'ottaedro e, su un intaglio di questa taglia, i piani sono abbastanza ampi da leggersi per tutta la lunghezza del teschio, con le loro giunture chiare a segnare dove l'uno ha ceduto il posto all'altro. A 4 Mohs la superficie si graffia con pochissimo, quindi lo tenga lontano da chiavi, sabbia e altre pietre.
Misura 9,7 × 7,4 × 6,1 cm e pesa 572 g. Il doppio speculare che compare sotto di esso nelle fotografie è il vetro nero su cui è stato appoggiato per lo scatto, non un secondo pezzo; nessun supporto è incluso e l'intaglio inquadrato è quello che verrà spedito.
