Una seconda piccola punta spunta al di sotto. 4,1 × 3,0 × 3,3 cm, 30 g, su cubo di acrilico trasparente.

Un solo cristallo regge questa miniatura. Un quarzo tozzo e limpido come acqua giace quasi in orizzontale su una matrice brecciata color tabacco, tanto largo al centro che le facce di terminazione si leggono come ampie placche più che come punte. L'interno è percorso da pellicole piumose chiare e da una spruzzata di puntini scuri, e una seconda punta, molto più piccola, sbuca dalla roccia al di sotto. L'incassante è un ammasso di frammenti chiari e angolosi cementati nel bruno, percorso da vene bianche e crema.
Quelle pellicole piumose sono fratture risanate: rotture apertesi mentre il quarzo era ancora in crescita e richiuse da silice fresca, che hanno lasciato una sottile pelle di fluido intrappolato a segnare la vecchia superficie. Sono storia strutturale più che danno, e offrono a un cristallo limpido come questo qualcosa che trattenga lo sguardo sotto una lampada. Il quarzo ha durezza 7 Mohs e nessuna sfaldatura, perciò il cristallo è robusto; la matrice è la metà più tenera.
L'esemplare misura 4,1 × 3,0 × 3,3 cm e pesa 30 g. Arriva sul cubo di acrilico trasparente mostrato, fissato con pasta adesiva rimovibile, e il cristallo fotografato è il cristallo fornito.
