Dettagli dell’esemplare
Su questo esemplare
Hebei transparent green fluorite with quartz at 4.8 cm and 82 g; a miniature with gem-clear cubes.
Fluorite crystallises in the cubic system and is prized for its saturated colour, glassy lustre and the way zoned phantoms appear when the crystals are back-lit.
Rock crystal is judged on termination quality, clarity and how the crystals sit together, and the Chinese localities have raised the bar on all three.
Hebei's mountain districts produce calcite, quartz and skarn minerals from small mines north of Beijing.
Dimensions place it in the miniature range, 4.8 × 4.7 × 2.5 cm (1.89 × 1.85 × 0.98 in) and 82 g (2.9 oz). The specimen is otherwise sold in the condition shown.
Every specimen here is photographed and catalogued individually before listing.
