Over dit exemplaar
Jinkouhe, Sichuan, quartz at 9.6 cm and 46 g; a cabinet wand, priced with the tip disclosed. A long, clear quartz wand with black inclusions packed through its lower half and a golden stain at the tip; the supplier notes a slightly damaged tip face.
Rock crystal is judged on termination quality, clarity and how the crystals sit together, and the Chinese localities have raised the bar on all three.
Jinkouhe in Leshan, Sichuan, is the source of prehnite, gypsum and epidote specimens from a road-cut skarn discovered in the 2010s.
By size it is cabinet, 1.7 × 1.5 × 9.6 cm (0.67 × 0.59 × 3.78 in) and 46 g (1.6 oz). Disclosed condition: a slightly damaged tip face. The price reflects it and the photographs show the affected area. The specimen is otherwise sold in the condition shown.
Specimens are photographed and catalogued one at a time before they reach this page.
