Een donkerder metaalglanzend gebied neemt het midden in, met kleine roodbruine spikkels rond de omliggende witte aangroei. Ook hubeiet staat vermeld in de associatie. Vanuit de tweede hoek steken de hoekige goudkleurige vormen voorbij de blekere basis uit, wat de aandacht vestigt op het verschil tussen hun brede metaalglanzende vlakken en de fijnere textuur van de dragende kwarts.
