Fijne parallelle vezels creëren een zachte witte glans, terwijl helderder uitziende calciet de aangrenzende kant en het onderste gebied bezet. Het tweede beeld toont het dunne profiel van het specimen en de grens tussen het zijdeachtige vezelige gedeelte en het meer blocky bleke mineraal.
