Over dit exemplaar
Fujian green fluorite at 15 cm; a display piece with a gentle, glowing colour.
Fluorite is the classic collector's halide: calcium fluoride that grows as cubes, octahedra and stepped combinations, often with colour zoning that shows best in daylight.
Fujian is China's most productive fluorite province, and its granite-hosted veins also yield the garnet, quartz and calcite that fill modern collections.
Dimensions place it in the large cabinet range, 15 × 11 × 6.7 cm (5.91 × 4.33 × 2.64 in) and 892 g (31.5 oz). Condition is otherwise as photographed.
Specimens are photographed and catalogued one at a time before they reach this page.
