Over dit exemplaar
Yunnan pink aragonite at 21 × 15 × 5 cm and 2230 g; a large cabinet piece. A large plate of tan rock with pink aragonite crusts across its right side, the supplier's red aragonite, and white crystalline patches between.
Aragonite grows as radiating or stacked crystals, a habit that gives the species its sculptural, coral-like look.
Yunnan is China's most mineralogically diverse province, source of the pyromorphite, azurite and blue aragonite that have become collector favourites.
By size it is large cabinet, 21 × 15 × 5 cm (8.27 × 5.91 × 1.97 in) and 2230 g (78.7 oz). Otherwise the piece is sold exactly as photographed.
Carbonate: never clean with acid or vinegar.
Each specimen is individually photographed and catalogued before it is listed.
