Het onderste kwarts blijft zichtbaar als een licht verticale stam, waardoor de associatie een bloemachtige omtrek krijgt zonder de minerale structuur te verduisteren. Kleine roze messen strekken zich uit in verschillende hoeken bij de kam, en een zijaanzicht onthult hoe de groei wraps rond het bovenste gedeelte.
