Over dit exemplaar
Fujian purple fluorite with quartz at 4.8 cm and 53 g; a miniature with strong colour.
Chinese fluorite has become a staple of modern collections for its sharp crystal faces, strong colour and a lustre that reads well from across the room.
Rock crystal is judged on termination quality, clarity and how the crystals sit together, and the Chinese localities have raised the bar on all three.
Fujian's fluorite-quartz veins have supplied collectors for two decades; the province is the source of most of the green and purple Chinese fluorite on the market.
The piece is miniature in size, 4.8 × 3.8 × 2.5 cm (1.89 × 1.50 × 0.98 in) and 53 g (1.9 oz). Otherwise the piece is sold exactly as photographed.
Specimens are photographed and catalogued one at a time before they reach this page.
