Over deze afgeronde plaat berijpte kwarts bloeien tientallen rozerode rhodochrosietrozetten als bloemen na de regen: gebogen, uit blaadjes opgebouwde aggregaten, van rand tot rand verspreid en in de onderste helft verdicht tot een tuin. Bovenin ligt één grijsviolette fluorietkubus vlak in de druze, een geometrische gast tussen de rozen.
Het stuk komt uit Wuzhou in Guangxi, waar holtes met kwarts en rhodochrosiet verzamelaars van roze mineralen een betaalbaar tegenwicht bieden voor de beroemde topvindplaatsen van rhodochrosiet, met een zachte, tuinachtige charme die geheel eigen is.
De plaat meet 9,4 × 8,4 × 2,4 cm, weegt 297 g en leunt vanzelf in een goede kijkstand. Natuurlijk en onbehandeld; op de foto's ziet u precies dit stuk.
