Over dit exemplaar
Yunnan blue aragonite at 10.5 cm; a cabinet piece with one of the purest blues in the Chinese carbonate world.
Aragonite grows as radiating or stacked crystals, a habit that gives the species its sculptural, coral-like look.
Yunnan's copper and lead-zinc districts produce the azurite, malachite, pyromorphite, hemimorphite and blue aragonite that define Chinese secondary minerals.
The piece is cabinet in size, 10.5 × 9.5 × 6.6 cm (4.13 × 3.74 × 2.60 in) and 775 g (27.3 oz). Otherwise the piece is sold exactly as photographed.
Carbonate: never clean with acid or vinegar.
Specimens are photographed and catalogued one at a time before they reach this page.
