Over dit exemplaar
Jinkouhe, Sichuan, double-terminated quartz at 15 cm and 698 g; a large cabinet cluster.
Rock crystal is judged on termination quality, clarity and how the crystals sit together, and the Chinese localities have raised the bar on all three.
Sichuan's alpine-type veins and skarns yield aquamarine, prehnite, epidote and scheelite of international quality.
Dimensions place it in the large cabinet range, 15 × 9 × 7.5 cm (5.91 × 3.54 × 2.95 in) and 698 g (24.6 oz). Condition is otherwise as photographed.
Specimens are photographed and catalogued one at a time before they reach this page.
