先看见的是绿，留住目光的却是紫：这片内蒙古晶板上，一颗接一颗的立方体都在上缘戴着一道细细的紫罗兰色滚边，像是缝在瓶绿色晶面上的织带。 晶体在整个正面堆叠成低矮的阶梯状平台，数以百计，朝着左上方一颗颜色更深的块体攀升。 白色的颗粒状结壳挤满了缝隙，而一道近乎全黑的岩脉则在下方一角露出。
这样的色带是一份关于流体通道的记录。 萤石，CaF2，的颜色来自微量元素与晶格缺陷，而非任何单一的致色成分，因此生长后期流体的一次改变，就能替绿色晶体挂上一层紫罗兰色的外皮，而其他一切不变。 莫氏硬度 4 与四个方向的完全解理，意味着棱角极易碰损——请托住晶板的底部，绝不要捏住晶体。
