方解石 CaCO3 是矿物界的变形大师，湖北料的蜜色来自生长时进入晶格的铁。 它也是双折射的经典教材——通过清澈部位看一条细线，那条线会一分为二。 凡此种种都附带警告：莫氏硬度 3，三个方向的完全菱面体解理，而且一遇酸就会失去光泽。 请用干棉花，并收在密闭的陈列柜里。
