两枚玻璃光泽的萤石立方体彼此穿生，构成这件瑶岗仙标本的核心——教科书等级的贯穿双晶，而且是该矿罕有产出的尺度。 它的颜色做了一件了不起的事：每枚立方体通过晶面看去是淡淡的冰蓝，却恰恰沿着棱与角转深为紫罗兰色，使整个双晶看起来像是用紫色墨水描出来的。 光线干净穿透之处，柔和的蓝绿色窗口向晶体内部敞开。
透明度是顶级瑶岗仙萤石的标尺，而这一件在数厘米的厚度内清澈如水——朝着窗户举起，房间另一头的景象会带着淡紫色调通过来。 底部一道不张扬的乳白色石英带，印证了晶洞的共生关系，却不与主角争锋。
湖南郴州的瑶岗仙钨矿，大型洁净双晶的产出已细若涓流；同时具备这般透明度、尺寸与棱边色带的晶体，如今确实难以寻得，这也是我们经手过最出色的萤石之一。 它重 1,195 g，尺寸 12.4 × 10.2 × 7.4 cm。
