Fujian green fluorite with quartz at 242 g; a cabinet piece with a soft colour pairing.
Chinese fluorite has become a staple of modern collections for its sharp crystal faces, strong colour and a lustre that reads well from across the room.
Quartz is the most collected mineral on earth for good reason: sharp hexagonal prisms, bright terminations and endless variation between localities.
Fujian's fluorite-quartz veins have supplied collectors for two decades; the province is the source of most of the green and purple Chinese fluorite on the market.
Dimensions place it in the cabinet range, 8.5 × 6.1 × 4.3 cm (3.35 × 2.40 × 1.69 in) and 242 g (8.5 oz). The specimen is otherwise sold in the condition shown.
