Über diese Stufe
Ein einzelnes Aquamarin-Prisma erhebt sich frei über die Spitze dieser Miniatur aus Xuebaoding – wasserhell statt kräftig gefärbt, im Körper nur der leiseste Anflug von Blau und nahe der Endfläche einige innere Schleier. Es wächst unmittelbar aus einem weißen, strahligen Büschel feiner Blättchen heraus; dahinter stapeln sich perlmuttschimmernde blassolivfarbene Plättchen, und links schmiegt sich eine zweite, kleinere Rosette an.
Aquamarin ist die blaue Varietät des Berylls, Be3Al2Si6O18, hexagonal und mit Mohshärte 7,5–8 hart; seine Farbe verdankt er Eisenspuren. Kristalle aus Xuebaoding sammelt man weniger wegen der Farbsättigung als wegen ihrer glasigen Transparenz, der sauberen Prismenflächen und der alpin anmutenden Paragenesen, auf denen sie sitzen; dieses Stück ist ein geradliniges Beispiel dafür.
Die Gruppe misst 2,5 × 2,8 × 3,6 cm und wiegt 14 g. Sie kommt auf dem abgebildeten hellbernsteinfarbenen Acrylsockel, und das Stück auf diesen Aufnahmen ist genau das, was verschickt wird.
