Über diese Stufe
Die Rose an diesem Stück aus Yaogangxian ist nicht der Fluorit. An der Basis öffnet sich eine dichte Rosette weißer Blätter, und aus ihr erhebt sich ein Fluorit-Kristall, dessen Kanten in klarem Lila gezeichnet sind, während der Kern blaugrau und trüb bleibt, vollgepackt mit weißen watteartigen Einschlüssen und einigen dunkelgrünen Sprenkeln.
Sieht man genauer hin, ist der Kristall kein schlichter Würfel, sondern ein Stapel dünner quadratischer Platten, jede um eine Winzigkeit gegenüber der darunterliegenden zurückgesetzt, sodass das Lila als feine Linie entlang jeder Stufe erscheint. Diese Zeichnung aus Saum und Kern ist Wachstumszonierung: Die Lösung veränderte sich, während der Kristall aufbaute, und das zuletzt eintreffende CaF2 brachte das Violett mit. Es ist ein festes Muster im Stein, kein Spiel wechselnden Lichts.
Das Stück misst 4,3 × 2,3 × 1,8 cm und wiegt 20 g, mit Klebeknete auf einem klaren Acrylblock befestigt. Jede Aufnahme hier hält genau diesen Kristall auf seinem Sockel fest.
