Über diese Stufe
Zwei wuchtige Calcit-Kristalle – mattweiß, zart durchscheinend, ihre Flächen von Wachstumsstreifen durchzogen – steigen nebeneinander aus einer schroffen Platte dunkelgrauer Matrix auf wie ein Paar Gletscherfindlinge. Es ist jene Fujianer Tracht, die Sammler „Benz“-Calcit nennen, geschätzt für genau diese Präsenz: große, klare, skulpturale Kristalle mit echtem Gewicht auf dem Fensterbrett.
Im Gegenlicht werden beide Kristalle zu weichen weißen Laternen, die Streifung liest sich dann als innere Textur, und die fast schwarze Matrix übernimmt den Kontrast von allein. Das Stück ist von jeder Betrachtungsseite vollständig.
Ein vollwertiges Kabinettstück mit 18 × 10,9 × 14 cm und 1.324 g, montiert auf dem abgebildeten Acrylständer mit Messingstift. Abgebildet ist exakt dieses Exemplar.
