Über diese Stufe
Weißer Drusenquarz hat diesen Fluorit aus Fujian auf allen Seiten bis auf eine geschlossen und ein einziges breites Fenster gelassen: Der Blick geht geradewegs in einen violett-indigofarbenen Kern, der ins Lavendel aufhellt und schließlich klar wird, wo der Kristall zur Unterkante hin dünner wird.
Die Form unter der Kruste ist würfelig, der Überzug richtet sich an den flachen Kristallflächen aus und häuft sich auf den Schultern am dicksten. Fluorit (CaF2) hat Mohshärte 4 und spaltet vollkommen nach dem Oktaeder – deshalb tragen so viele chinesische Würfel kleine gestufte Verluste an den Ecken; hier hat der Quarzmantel diese Aufgabe übernommen, die Flanken gepanzert und das violette Fenster unversehrt gelassen. Farbe dieser Tiefe geht meist auf Spuren von Seltenerd-Einbau und Gitterfehlstellen zurück, nicht auf eine einzelne Beimengung.
