Über diese Stufe
Hebei purple-edged transparent green fluorite at 14.5 cm and 580 g; a large cabinet plate with gem-clear cubes.
Fluorite crystallises in the cubic system and is prized for its saturated colour, glassy lustre and the way zoned phantoms appear when the crystals are back-lit.
Hebei's mountain districts produce calcite, quartz and skarn minerals from small mines north of Beijing.
Dimensions place it in the large cabinet range, 14.5 × 10.8 × 4 cm (5.71 × 4.25 × 1.57 in) and 580 g (20.5 oz). The specimen is otherwise sold in the condition shown.
Each specimen is individually photographed and catalogued before it is listed.
