Über diese Stufe
Pyromorphit überzieht die Oberseite dieser kleinen Stufe aus Guangxi in strahligen Büscheln – schlanke Nadeln, die sich aus gemeinsamen Zentren auffächern, dazwischen gedrungenere sechseckige Tönnchen – und das Chartreusegrün ist so gesättigt, dass es gegen das stumpfe graubraune Muttergestein von innen beleuchtet wirkt. Rostfarbene Verfärbungen ziehen sich durch die Matrix darunter und lassen die Farbe noch kräftiger wirken.
Pyromorphit ist ein Blei-Chlorophosphat, Pb5(PO4)3Cl, und entsteht in der Oxidationszone über Bleilagerstätten, wo phosphathaltige Wässer den Bleiglanz angreifen. Der Bleigehalt verleiht ihm für seine Größe ein spürbares Gewicht und einen harzigen, fast wachsartigen Glanz, den wenige andere grüne Minerale erreichen. Bei einer Mohshärte von 3,5 bis 4 brechen die Nadelspitzen leicht ab – fassen Sie das Stück daher ausschließlich an den Matrixkanten an.
Klein, aber auffällig: 3,8 × 3,6 × 2,0 cm, 35 g, mit weißer Knetmasse auf einen klaren Acrylblock gesetzt, sodass sich die Kristallfläche dem Betrachter zuneigt. Das auf den Fotos gezeigte Stück ist genau das, das für Sie verpackt wird.
