Über diese Stufe
Klare Quarzspitzen strahlen in alle Richtungen von dieser Stufe aus Yaogangxian aus, die beiden längsten steil nach außen geneigt und in scharfe, unbeschädigte Endflächen auslaufend. Zwischen ihren Basen stecken Kassiterit-Kristalle von einem harten, öligen Schwarz, das Licht schluckt, wo der Quarz es zurückwirft, und rechts unten schiebt sich ein blass violetter Fluorit unter der Kristallfront ins Bild. Einige messingfarbene metallische Spitzen sitzen tief auf der Platte.
Dieses Trio – Quarz, Kassiterit, Fluorit – ist der Fingerabdruck einer zinnführenden Greisen-Ader, und Yaogangxian in Chenzhou, Hunan, ist die klassische chinesische Adresse dafür. Kassiterit ist SnO2, das wichtigste Zinnerz, überraschend schwer in der Hand und mit Mohs 6–7 hart. Der Quarz schirmt ihn hier ab; der Fluorit ist mit Mohs 4 das Weichste am Stück und beim Handhaben der wunde Punkt.
Die Platte misst 7,4 × 3,8 × 4,6 cm bei 150 g und wird lose, ohne Montierung geliefert. Nehmen Sie diese Fotos als Porträt des tatsächlichen Stücks und nicht als Musterbild des Typs.
