Über diese gerundete Platte aus mattem Quarz blühen Dutzende rosenrosa Rhodochrosit-Rosetten wie Blumen nach dem Regen – gewölbte, aus Blättchen aufgebaute Aggregate, von Rand zu Rand verstreut und in der unteren Hälfte zu einem dichten Garten zusammenwachsend. Nahe dem oberen Rand sitzt ein einzelner grauvioletter Fluorit-Würfel bündig in der Druse, ein geometrischer Gast unter den Rosen.
Das Stück kommt aus Wuzhou in Guangxi, dessen Quarz-Rhodochrosit-Klüfte Sammlern rosafarbener Minerale einen erschwinglichen Gegenpol zu den berühmten hochpreisigen Rhodochrosit-Fundorten bieten – mit einem sanften, gartenhaften Charme ganz eigener Art.
Die Platte misst 9,4 × 8,4 × 2,4 cm, wiegt 297 g und neigt sich von selbst in eine gute Schauposition. Natürlich und unbehandelt; die Fotos zeigen genau diese Stufe.
