Über diese Stufe
Ein Blick in den größten Würfel, und der Kristall zeigt seine eigene Geschichte: ein dunkelvioletter Kern, versiegelt in einer blassen, nahezu farblosen Hülle, die Grenze dazwischen so sauber gezogen wie ein Tuschestrich. Das ist ein Phantom, und mehrere Würfel dieser Yaogangxian-Gruppe tragen eines. Cremefarbene Dolomit-Rhomboeder und punktfeine metallische Kristalle sitzen auf den Fluoritflächen, statt in ihnen eingeschlossen zu sein, und eine feine lilafarbene Druse aus späterem Fluorit bereift die unteren Kanten.
Phantome halten eine Unterbrechung fest. Der Fluorit wuchs, die ihn speisende Lösung änderte sich – andere Spurenelemente, andere Temperatur – und das Wachstum setzte in einer blasseren Chemie wieder ein und schloss die frühere Kristallform im neueren Kristall ein. Fluorit ist weich für etwas so Glasiges, Mohshärte 4, mit vollkommener oktaedrischer Spaltbarkeit, die bei einem Stoß eine ganze Ecke abnimmt; lagern Sie ihn abseits härterer Nachbarn.
