Über diese Stufe
Guizhou double-terminated yellow calcite at 21 g; a small cabinet piece with a distinctive branching form.
Collectors chase calcite for form rather than colour: crisp crystal edges and a habit you can identify from across the room.
Guizhou's Qinglong antimony-fluorite district is the classic source for creedite sprays and continues to produce zoned fluorite and calcite.
The piece is small cabinet in size, 5.9 × 3.5 × 2.1 cm (2.32 × 1.38 × 0.83 in) and 21 g (0.7 oz). Condition is otherwise as photographed.
Carbonate: never clean with acid or vinegar.
Specimens are photographed and catalogued one at a time before they reach this page.
