Cristalli di epidoto scuro formano colonne ostruite prominenti contro il materiale prehnite-portante pallido. Le creste parallele fini scendono lungo diverse facce più scure, mentre i cristalli angolari più piccoli si siedono vicino al gruppo principale. La vista laterale rivela un ampio volto scuro e il confine irregolare con la crescita pallida intorno ad esso. Una matrice di supporto bassa e allungata mantiene l'epidoto più alto vicino al centro, creando un forte contrasto tra i cristalli superiori quasi neri e le zone circostanti più morbide e di colore chiaro.
