A plate of white feldspar and quartz with large, glossy dark-red garnet crystals scattered across it, one black-red crystal at the top, and clear hyalite opal that glows green under UV. Orange staining runs along the top edge. Fluoresces under a UV torch, as the photos show.
Yunxiao, Fujian, large-grain garnet with hyalite at 28 g; a thumbnail with more garnet than most.
