Tre classici di Xuebaoding convivono in un solo esemplare: una sfera di rosette di muscovite argentea, una cresta di acquamarina vetrosa azzurro pallido e — in cima a tutto — un cristallo di scheelite ambra miele che cattura la luce come una goccia di sciroppo. È con i pezzi di associazione che questa celebre località del Sichuan si mette in mostra, e questo porta il suo trio con un equilibrio inconsueto.
L’acquamarina è il dettaglio da intenditori: le sue superfici portano la fine tessitura di dissoluzione per cui Xuebaoding è nota, incisa dai fluidi idrotermali tardivi in una finitura satinata e scolpita invece che in semplici prismi lisci. Al suo fianco la mica va dal bianco perla al verde salvia, con ogni rosetta costruita da decine di lamelle sottili come carta.
L’esemplare misura 9,0 × 7,8 × 8,9 cm e pesa 365 g; è naturale e non trattato e si monta sul supporto in acrilico con perno visibile nelle fotografie, che, come sempre, ritraggono il pezzo esatto che riceverà.
