Jinkouhe, Sichuan, quartz at 6.9 cm and 100 g; a small cabinet single crystal, priced with the tip disclosed. A stout, icy clear quartz crystal with a rainbow flash inside, the ice-and-snow quartz the supplier names; the supplier notes a slightly damaged tip.
Quartz is the most collected mineral on earth for good reason: sharp hexagonal prisms, bright terminations and endless variation between localities.
Jinkouhe in Leshan, Sichuan, is the source of prehnite, gypsum and epidote specimens from a road-cut skarn discovered in the 2010s.
By size it is small cabinet, 3.4 × 3.1 × 6.9 cm (1.34 × 1.22 × 2.72 in) and 100 g (3.5 oz). Disclosed condition: a slightly damaged tip. The price reflects it and the photographs show the affected area. Condition is otherwise as photographed.
