この標本について
Jinkouhe, Sichuan, baryte at 10.1 cm and 400 g; a cabinet plate, priced with the damage disclosed. A plate of pale yellow, translucent baryte crystals packed across a tan matrix; the supplier notes some crystals are damaged.
Baryte's tabular blades are its typical habit, and its weight in the hand is the easiest field test.
Sichuan's alpine-type veins and skarns yield aquamarine, prehnite, epidote and scheelite of international quality.
Dimensions place it in the cabinet range, 10.1 × 5.6 × 5.7 cm (3.98 × 2.20 × 2.24 in) and 400 g (14.1 oz). Disclosed condition: some damaged crystals. The price reflects it and the photographs show the affected area. The specimen is otherwise sold in the condition shown.
