A single large, satin-grey magnetite crystal with sharp faces sits on top of a smaller cluster of magnetite and khaki garnet, with white calcite and mica at the base. The main crystal dominates the piece.
Inner Mongolia magnetite with one crystal clearly larger than the rest, which gives the thumbnail a focal point; magnetic and heavy for its size.
Size 3.9 × 3.5 × 2.3 cm / 1.54 × 1.38 × 0.91 in; weight 40 g / 1.4 oz. Miniature specimen, fits a miniature cabinet or a desk display. Sold as photographed, with any known repair, mount, treatment or condition note disclosed in this listing; colour is as true to hand as the photos allow.
