여기서는 라일락색과 연둣빛 초록이 하나의 결정을 나눠 씁니다. 위쪽 가장자리에는 계단을 이룬 정육면체 면들이 낮은 성벽처럼 솟아 유리질에 옅은 보랏빛을 띠고, 그 아래 내부는 초록으로 가득 차며 성장이 멈췄다 다시 시작된 자리마다 유백색 구역이 흐릿하게 끼어듭니다. 창가에 비추면 판 전체에 불이 들어오는데, 13 cm에 가까운 형석이 하나의 덩어리를 이루고 있습니다.
이런 색 띠는 성장 도중에 유체의 화학 조성이 바뀐 기록입니다. CaF2 격자 안의 미량 불순물과 결함이 흡수를 보라색에서 초록색 쪽으로 옮기는 동안에도 정육면체는 계속 쌓여 갑니다. 저장성 형석은 열린 정동보다 묵직한 단결정 덩어리로 나오는 경우가 많은데, 그래서 표면이 계단진 정육면체 단과 쪼개짐면으로 읽힙니다. 모스 경도 4에 팔면체 방향의 완벽한 쪼개짐을 지니므로, 이만한 덩어리는 손을 아래에 받쳐 드시기 바랍니다.
