A rounded mass covered in a glittering golden-brown marcasite crust made of countless tiny crystals, with white calcite and dolomite crystals showing along the left edge and base. The sulfide sparkle is fine-grained and even.
Hubei marcasite-calcite-dolomite at 452 g; a small cabinet piece that should be kept dry, since marcasite can decompose in humid storage.
Size 9.5 × 6.2 × 5.9 cm / 3.74 × 2.44 × 2.32 in; weight 452 g / 15.9 oz. Cabinet specimen, makes a strong centrepiece on a shelf or in a display case.
