Over dit exemplaar
Yunnan flower calcite at 360 g; a cabinet piece with a minimalist layout. Handle by the block.
Collectors chase calcite for form rather than colour: crisp crystal edges and a habit you can identify from across the room.
Mica books, silvery to bronze, are the usual companion of pegmatite minerals and add a flash of pearly lustre to the piece.
Yunnan is China's most mineralogically diverse province, source of the pyromorphite, azurite and blue aragonite that have become collector favourites.
The piece is cabinet in size, 10 × 7.5 × 5.2 cm (3.94 × 2.95 × 2.05 in) and 360 g (12.7 oz). Otherwise the piece is sold exactly as photographed.
Carbonate: never clean with acid or vinegar.
Specimens are photographed and catalogued one at a time before they reach this page.
