Over dit exemplaar
Hunan pink feather calcite at 58 g; a miniature with a delicate upright form.
Collectors chase calcite for form rather than colour: crisp crystal edges and a habit you can identify from across the room.
Hunan is the heartland of Chinese mineral collecting, home to Yaogangxian, Xianghualing and Shangbao, and its fluorite, calcite and sulfides are the benchmark for the country.
Dimensions place it in the miniature range, 4.7 × 4.4 × 4.2 cm (1.85 × 1.73 × 1.65 in) and 58 g (2.0 oz). The specimen is otherwise sold in the condition shown.
Carbonate: never clean with acid or vinegar.
Each specimen is individually photographed and catalogued before it is listed.
