Over dit exemplaar
Inner Mongolia grey-green quartz with apophyllite at 10 g; a perky-box piece with an upright form.
Good quartz is about hexagonal prisms with clean terminations and the glassy lustre that lets a cluster catch light from every angle.
Apophyllite's water-clear to pale green pyramids and pearly cleavage faces make the species unusually photogenic.
The Huanggangliang skarn district of Inner Mongolia is one of the great mineral finds of the 21st century, known for fluorite, calcite, garnet and rare species.
Dimensions place it in the miniature range, 4.3 × 2 × 1.6 cm (1.69 × 0.79 × 0.63 in) and 10 g (0.4 oz). Condition is otherwise as photographed.
Every specimen here is photographed and catalogued individually before listing.
