Honingoranje stilbiet stapelt zich over dit specimen uit Fujian op in dikke schoven en vlinderdassen, elk aggregaat een bundel platte bladen die aan beide uiteinden uitwaaiert. De kleur loopt warm: amber waar de bladen dik zijn, bleker en bijna karamel waar ze dun worden. De oppervlakken dragen een zachte parelmoerglans in plaats van een harde schittering. Daaronder is een witte matrix bezaaid met donkergroenzwarte microkristallen, en rechts dringen enkele kleurloze kwartspunten naar voren.
Stilbiet is een zeoliet, een gehydrateerd calcium-natriumaluminosilicaat dat in gasholtes in vulkanisch gesteente groeit, en het staat bekend om precies deze schoofvormige habitus: kristallen die aan beide uiteinden verbreden en in het midden insnoeren. Het is zacht, ruwweg 3,5 tot 4 volgens Mohs, en draagt water in zijn eigen raamwerk, dus houd het uit direct zonlicht en bij radiatoren vandaan.
Het specimen meet 5,3 × 5,6 × 4,4 cm en weegt 130 g, en het wordt geleverd op het transparante acrylblokje van de foto's, dat de stilbiet onder haar beste hoek naar voren houdt. Dit is het individuele specimen dat u ontvangt.
