Een grote donkere metallic pyriet octaëder zit met sphaleriet op matrix uit Peru. Brede driehoekige gezichten ontmoeten elkaar in knapperige richels en dragen subtiele grijsgouden reflecties, terwijl kleinere sulfidekristallen rond de basis schitteren. De gelaagde matrix geeft het enige dominante kristal een verhoogde architectonische setting. De achteruitkijkspiegel toont een tweede schuine zijde en de grote diepte van de octaëder in plaats van alleen een vlak frontaal oppervlak.
