Over dit exemplaar
Sichuan prehnite ball on quartz at 29 g; a miniature with a minimalist layout.
Apple-green prehnite typically builds stacked, fan-shaped crystal aggregates.
Rock crystal is judged on termination quality, clarity and how the crystals sit together, and the Chinese localities have raised the bar on all three.
Sichuan's alpine-type veins and skarns yield aquamarine, prehnite, epidote and scheelite of international quality.
The piece is miniature in size, 4.4 × 3.6 × 2.5 cm (1.73 × 1.42 × 0.98 in) and 29 g (1.0 oz). The specimen is otherwise sold in the condition shown.
Specimens are photographed and catalogued one at a time before they reach this page.
