磷氯铅矿以放射状晶簇覆盖这块广西小板状标本的上表面——细长的针状晶体自共同的中心呈扇形散开，较粗短的六方桶状晶体填满其间的空隙——黄绿色饱和得仿佛由内发光，与暗淡的灰褐色母岩形成强烈对比。 下方的母岩中透出锈色的浸染，把这份色彩推得更为强烈。
磷氯铅矿是一种氯磷酸铅矿物，化学式为 Pb5(PO43Cl，形成于铅矿床上方的氧化带，由含磷酸盐的水侵蚀方铅矿而成。 铅使它在这样的尺寸下仍有扎实的重量，并带着少有绿色矿物能相比的树脂状、近乎蜡感的光泽。 莫氏硬度 3.5 至 4，针尖极易压碎，因此请只握持母岩的边缘。
