把这颗萤石举向窗光，内部便化为一座建筑：鬼影般的立方体一层套着一层，轮廓以紫色墨水画在较浅的丁香紫身体上。 外表面以浮雕重复同一个念头——骸晶状、阶梯状的晶面以细小的玻璃质台地攀上标本，底下则是深葡萄紫的核心。
那些内部轮廓是幻影，是晶体暂停生长、沾上一丝铁染的物质、再继续长下去所留下的生长面。 由于萤石（CaF2）沿着同样三条轴线一层层砌起立方体，每一次停顿都以完美方形的阴影保存下来，而阶梯状的外表，不过是那些层次中最后一层尚未完成的模样。 莫氏硬度 4 加上完全的八面体解理，请托住主体，绝不要抓突出的阶梯。
