About this specimen
A rounded mass of muted lavender-grey fluorite, its surface recrystallised into a fine matte texture, dotted all over with tiny glassy pale-green fluorite cubes. The colour is called Morandi for its soft, dusty tone.
Recrystallised Fujian fluorite at cabinet size and over half a kilogram; velvety rather than glassy, and the little green cubes give it sparkle.
Size 9.6 × 8.8 × 5.5 cm / 3.78 × 3.46 × 2.17 in; weight 542 g / 19.1 oz. Cabinet specimen, makes a strong centrepiece on a shelf or in a display case.
