Orders
How do I track my package?
Once your order ships, you'll receive a tracking email with a courier link. You can also email us with your order number at any time and we'll send the latest status.
Can I modify my shipping address after placing an order?
Please contact us as soon as possible at support@mymineralbox.com. We can update your address if the order hasn't shipped yet — once it leaves our facility, the courier controls routing.
What should I do if my order is delayed?
If your tracking hasn't updated in 5+ business days, email us and we'll investigate with the courier right away. International delays can stretch longer; we'll let you know what's normal for your destination.
Can I cancel my order?
If the order hasn't shipped yet, email support@mymineralbox.com and we'll cancel and refund immediately. Once shipped we can't recall it, but you're covered by our 14-day return policy on arrival.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes — we ship worldwide to the USA, Canada, UK, Europe, Australia, Japan, and most other countries. See our full shipping policy for the complete list.
How are specimens packaged?
We use a professional Double-Box Method. Inner specimens are wrapped in mineral-safe tissue and suspended in foam; the outer box is reinforced to absorb shock. Fragile pieces — stibnite, gypsum, friable matrices — receive extra padding. We guarantee zero movement during transit.
How long does delivery take?
Most packages arrive within 7–10 business days worldwide. We process orders within 24–48 hours and ship from the warehouse nearest your location for speed. Express options are available at checkout for time-sensitive orders.
Do I have to pay Customs or VAT?
No. We cover all import duties, VAT, and customs fees for you. You will never be charged extra fees upon delivery — the price you see at checkout is the price you pay.
Is my package insured?
Yes. Every shipment includes full transit insurance at no extra cost. If your specimen arrives damaged, we will replace it or issue a full refund.

Can I request additional photos of a specimen?
Absolutely — email us with the item name or SKU and we will send extra photos within 24 hours. We can shoot under different lighting, angles, or with a size reference if helpful.
Are all specimens authentic and unaltered?
Yes. Every specimen is naturally formed unless explicitly noted. We follow AGTA-aligned disclosure for any treatments (heat, irradiation, repair) — these are stated in the specimen's data sheet before purchase.
Can I reserve a specimen before paying?
We can hold a specimen for 24 hours while you decide. Beyond that the listing returns to the catalog. Email us if you need a longer reservation — we'll work with you when possible.
Do the photos match the actual specimen?
Every photograph is color-calibrated to 5500K (Daylight). The image you see is the specimen you receive. We never use stock photos — every listing has photos of the actual piece.
Policies
What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery for items in original condition. Buyer covers return shipping. Refund is issued to the original payment method within 3 business days of receiving the return.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, and other secure payment methods at checkout. All transactions are PCI-compliant via Stripe.
Can I pay in installments? (Payment Plans)
Yes — we offer flexible payment plans for high-value items: 10% deposit to reserve the item, 30 days to complete the payment, 0% interest and no hidden fees. See our Payment Plan page for full terms, or email us to arrange one for a specific piece.
Can I make an offer on a specimen?
Yes — many of our listings accept offers. Click the Make an Offer button on the product page to submit your price. We review offers quickly and may accept, counter, or decline.
Do you offer Certificates of Authenticity?
Yes. Upon request, we can provide a printed Certificate of Authenticity detailing the mineral name, locality, and provenance — included free with cabinet-grade specimens.

Where do your minerals come from?
We specialize in fine mineral specimens from China, including Yaogangxian, Wushan, Dongpo, and other renowned localities. Every piece is sourced directly from trusted miners — Maggie spends extended time at the mines each year curating at the source.
Are the photos accurate?
Yes. Every listing shows the exact specimen you will receive. Photos are taken under natural or studio lighting (color-calibrated to 5500K Daylight) with no color editing. What you see is what you get.
Can you find a specific mineral for me?

How should I care for my minerals?
Keep specimens away from direct sunlight (some colors can fade — fluorite, vivianite, realgar). Dust gently with a soft brush. Avoid water on water-soluble minerals (halite, selenite). Store on padded shelving or in a closed cabinet to keep humidity stable.
