What it is known for

Namibia hosts the legendary Tsumeb mine (azurite, dioptase, mimetite, and scores of rare species), the Erongo gem pegmatites (aquamarine, jeremejevite, schorl), and fine tourmaline, fluorite, and dioptase from many other deposits.

What collectors look for

Tsumeb's secondary minerals and Erongo's gem aquamarine and jeremejevite are the country's most celebrated specimens.
