關於此標本
藍紫色的螢石立方體在這件瑤崗仙標本上層疊成一座低矮的拱丘，晶稜呈階梯狀，內部滿是方形的幻影輪廓，隨著標本傾斜而變換。兩顆立方體交會之處顏色最濃，向外側稜角則淡到近乎無色；背後有一層深綠色被膜與乳白色晶體托住整組晶群。
幻影是螢石以通透度換來的回報：每一個幽靈般的立方輪廓，都標記著礦脈流體改變的那一刻——一層顏色不同的物質先沉積下來，生長隨後才繞著它繼續。湖南瑤崗仙是中國藍至紫色幻影螢石的經典產地，母岩上的綠色被膜在當地也是熟悉的伴生特徵。莫氏硬度 4，具完全的八面體解理——放置時請務必輕手。
