綠與白以寬闊的條帶貫穿這顆骷髏，彷彿當初就是為了這兩色的對峙而挑選這塊原石：綠色淹沒眉骨、面頰與那排方塊狀的牙齒，粉白則掃過顱頂並沿鼻梁而下。顱骨後方，一處新月形的空腔開向一層細小的白色晶體——那是原石中的天然晶洞，被保留下來而非切除。
螢石是難以雕琢的材料。摩氏硬度 4，下刀即入，但它沿四個八面體方向裂開，一次疏忽的走刀就可能削掉鼻子或眼眶的一角。這件作品牙齒上可見的平直方塊並非刀痕——那是礦物自身的立方結構，透過完成面顯現出來。
雕件尺寸 12.7 × 6.9 × 7.6 cm，重 2466 g，接近 2.5 kg，因此得放在夠穩固的層架上。拍攝時置於深色反光板上，出貨不附底座；您看到的就是您將收到的這顆骷髏。
